Trail Cleanup Day Hosted as Part of National Trail Day

Nez Perce and Clearwater National Forests

The Clearwater Basin Collaborative (CBC) and the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests are co-hosting a Trail Cleanup Day on Saturday, June 6, 2026, as part of the nationwide National Trails Day celebration. This stewardship event aligns with the CBC’s priority of maintaining a robust recreation program in north-central Idaho to support the local economy and forest health.

Event Overview

The Forest Service has designated June 6 as a recreation fee-free day, waiving standard amenity fees at all national forest sites to encourage community participation. Volunteers typically assist with trail maintenance, including brushing, clearing debris, and trash removal to keep routes sustainable and accessible.
